‘Nigerian Nightmare’ book signing kicks off build up to CA Sports Hall of Fame Gala

(ONTARIO, California, June 3, 2024) – With the California Sports Hall of Fame just around the corner, the event’s founder and retired NFL Legend Christian Okoye will be signing copies of his book, “The Nigerian Nightmare,” June 8, from 2-4 p.m., in the California Welcome Center at Ontario Mills Mall. Okoye, who played fullback for the Kansas City Chiefs from 1987 to 1992, won the NFL rushing title and earned first-team All Pro honors in 1989. He made two Pro Bowl and three playoff appearances, and was inducted into the Chiefs Hall of Fame in 2000. In 2006, Okoye founded the California Sports Hall of Fame, and in collaboration with the Greater Ontario Sports & Entertainment Authority, has hosted an annual induction Gala featuring some of the biggest names in sports history. The 2024 California Sports Hall of Fame Gala will be held June 30 at the Ontario Convention Center, followed by a Golf Classic, July 1, at Red Hill Country Club in Rancho Cucamonga.
